IGA LAUNCH DATABASE OF GARAGES 'SAFE' FOR DATA ACCESS
The Independent Garage Association is to build a database of garages that are 'safe' and can be trusted by VMs to access security-related systems.
The plan comes in light of Block Exemption renewal in 2023, and the increased data security levels on modern 'connected' vehicles. To start, the trade body wants to build a network of audited and verified independent garages, to be known as 'Garage Safe', which is planned to be in place by Q3 2021.
