The four Rs
SUSTAINera uses four approaches to extend the lifespan of genuine parts: Reman, Repair, Reuse and Recycle. These provide workshops with a smart, cost-effective alternative to brand-new MOPAR genuine parts.
- Reman (remanufactured) parts are used, worn and defective parts that are recovered, dismantled, cleaned and remanufactured to genuine MOPAR OEM specifications. They deliver identical performance and come with the same 2-year warranty. With 80% of raw materials saved and 40% CO₂ reduction, these parts offer cost savings of up to 40%.
- Repaired parts are components that have been removed from a customer's vehicle, meticulously repaired to meet specifications and returned to the same vehicle, offering a saving of up to 50%.
- Re-used parts are original multi-brand parts in good condition that have been recovered from end-of-life vehicles and fitted to other vehicles. They come with a 2-year warranty.
- Recycled materials are recovered from production, maintenance scraps and end-of-life vehicle processing and fed back into the manufacturing process of new vehicles and aftersales products, to reduce demand on new raw materials. This includes a range of fluids including coolant and screenwash.
