The move is part of the Europe-wide programme of brand consolidation known as 'One LKQ' as the company seeks to streamline the many and varied businesses it has acquired across the Continent.

Team P.R Reilly is a name that for many will be synonymous with motor factoring in Ireland. Founded in 1945, the business was run for over fifty years by Norbert Reilly, until acquisition by LKQ Europe in 2017.

Although the name is being dropped, LKQ's operations in Ireland are expanding with new branches set to open in locations including Limerick and Waterford, Tralee and Navan, helping to boost products and services availability for customers across the South East and South West of Ireland.

A further two branches for Dublin are planned in 2022, one of which will become a dedicated distribution hub to enable faster and more efficient logistics operations across the city. In addition, the existing Galway branch will be extended to create a new hub to service the west of Ireland.

Bob Wiffen, Country Director at LKQ Euro Car Parts in the Republic of Ireland, said: “After another successful year of growth in a challenging Covid environment, we’re ready to press ahead with our ambitious expansion plans in the Republic of Ireland – alongside the rebrand to LKQ Euro Car Parts – which will bring tangible benefits to our customers.

  1. It makes sense to consolidate to the ECP brand. It still amazes me though how this company continue to grow. Hardly anyone - staff, customers, suppliers ever has anything positive to say of them. Is it all smoke & mirrors?
