DEFRA has re-launched its review into the use of Small Waste Oil Burners in workshops and garages. The review could ultimately lead to the units being banned, lumping garages with an extra £5000 in heating bills. The RMI and GEA are campaigning to halt the review.

Autodata has become the victim of counterfeiting, after it emerged that a garage in Warwickshire had been using a fake version of the information specialist's software to safety check vehicles. The company was made aware following a complaint by a vehicle manufacturer.
