Brake pad manufacturer TMD Friction UK welcomed the North East Ambulance Service to its friction material manufacturing headquarters in Hartlepool to showcase its world-leading production facility delivering high-quality brake pads.

North East Ambulance Service and TMD Friction UK’s supplying partner Fleet Factors visited the facility as the entire fleet across the emergency vehicle network, from ambulances to rapid response vehicles, all fit TMD Friction UK’s leading Textar brand of commercial vehicle braking products.

Scott Irwin MIMI, head of technical training at TMD Friction UK, said: “We received great feedback from our visitors, and TMD Friction UK looks forward to working closely with the Ambulance Service fleet managers and servicing technicians to develop a training plan and educate them further to ensure the ambulances and first responder vehicles are kept fully roadworthy,”
TMD Friction UK and the ambulance fleet managers held a question and answers session where the technical training team provided further insight on developing brake pads for emergency vehicles.
