Mark Field, Chief Exec of the IAAF has opened the Association’s annual conference with a plea for the aftermarket to ‘step out of the shadows’.

“We are in the business of change,” he told the audience of approximately 250 delegates. “From MOT to block exemption, I’m proud of the work we did with (European aftermarket lobby group) UKAFCAR”.
Originally a federation for distributors, the IAAF has struggled to get recognition from car repairers, but this will change according to Field. “The next big area of development for us is our garage section, they will become much more a part of the Federation going forward,” he told the conference.
“We want to bring them closer together, particularly as we look at campaigns such as Right to Repair”.
