Particulate filter malfunction, loss in power and regeneration is not possible

Fault symptoms: Diesel particulate filter clogged. Loss in power. Particle filter regeneration is not possible
Causes: Too many particle filter regenerations have been aborted due to predominant short-distance trips.
Remedy: Clean the particle filter. Carry out particulate filter regeneration.
Procedure
Lift vehicle
Remove exhaust-gas temperature sensor (1)
Spray concentrated cleaner into particulate filter using a probe. (2) (3)

Carry out a test drive

Alternator issues: Battery discharged and makes noises

Fault symptoms: Battery discharged. Noise in the region of the accessory drive belt. Causes: Production defect.
Remedy: Replace pulley of generator.
