ZF EPAS Replacement and Commissioning
The Vauxhall Insignia is equipped with ZF dual pinion electric power-assisted steering (EPAS). Although this is not normally a service item, it may on occasion be necessary to replace the system, e.g. in the event of accident damage. For safety reasons it is vital to replace only with genuine ZF parts. After installation, the system must be correctly commissioned, with attention to calibration of the zero position, adaptation of the soft end stops and flashing of the control unit with vehicle specific software.
