Causes: Production defect.
Remedy:
Replace coolant thermostat.
A blue color dot is present on the expansion reservoir cover if the action has already been carried out.

Remedy:
Replace charge air hose.
Remove aluminium protective cover.
Remove charge-air hose from right turbocharger. Install new charge-air hose with aluminum protective cover.
Fasten charge-air hose from right turbocharger to air intake pipe using cable tie.
Loosen left turbocharger charge-air hose from T-piece. Remove aluminium protective cover. Install left turbocharger charge-air hose.
Malfunction of DPF

Fault symptoms:
Diesel particulate filter clogged.
Loss in power
Particle filter regeneration is not possible
Causes:
Too many particle filter regenerations have been aborted due to predominant short-distance trips.
Remedy:
Clean the particle filter.
Carry out particulate filter regeneration.
Remove exhaust-gas temperature sensor. Spray concentrated cleaner into particulate filter using a probe. Carry out a test drive.
Manual gearbox shifting problems

Tailgate cannot be opened.
Causes:
Corrosion on tailgate contact switch
Replace the tailgate release switch. Concerns the following vehicles:
Green color mark exists inside of the left storage compartment cover in the boot if this job has already been performed.
Disconnect battery (negative terminal).
Remove the trunk lid release switch. Cut electric lines at the tailgate release switch. Strip electric lines ends. Connect the electric lines and the new tailgate release switch using shrink tubing. Installation in reverse order of removal.
