TDCi suffer turbo problems causing black smoke from the exhaust resulting in power loss. A seized or blocked EGR valve can give the same symptoms.
Dual Mass Flywheels can cause vibrations and juddering pulling away from a standstill. If a clonk is heard from under the bonnet as the engine is switched off is also a sign the DMF could be failing.
