HELLA PLANS FOR CARBON NEUTRAL PRODUCTION BY 2025

Component manufacturer Hella has put in place a plan to offset the carbon emissions from its production sites around the globe.

Under the plan, all 38 sites will achieve carbon neutrality by purchasing electricity from companies that only buy from renewable sources and by further reducing the power the plants consume. Remaining emissions are to be offset by investments in what the firm describes as  'high-quality certified climate protection projects'.

"Becoming carbon neutral is another milestone in Hella's sustainability development and is embedded in a comprehensive sustainability strategy," said CEO Dr. Rolf Breidenbach.
