The CEO of international trading group Nexus has said that the relationship with UK member GSF Car Parts is very good and has 'even improved' since the rebranding from a dozen regional identities.

Speaking to us at Automechanika, Gaël Escribe said: "The relationship is strong as ever, and it has even improved because the business is healthy and they are outpacing the market in terms of growth".

He added that Uni Select which acquired the business which was then known as The Parts Alliance in 2018, is a 'very strong pillar of Nexus on the other side of the ocean'.
The Parts Alliance was a founder member of Nexus when the trading group was formed in 2014. At that time, PA was still a buying group although an injection of private equity funds and a new direction in leadership under then-CEO Peter Sephton transformed the business by the end of that year.
Escribe spoke to us about the trading group as it has announced a light re-brand with a revised logo and new strapline ('The Automotive Aftermarket Company'). He was also keen to stress that while the aftermarket will look very different by 2035, issues like supplier consolidation and digitisation were an 'opportunity' for the group if handled in the right way.
