DVSA have confirmed that MOT testing stations in Wales can remain open throughout the 'firebreak' lockdown.
Vehicles will need to be tested as normal, and can only be used on the road without a valid certificate in force if they are being driven to a test.

Further to the announcement from the Welsh Government about the firebreak, a series of restrictive measures will be in place from 6pm Friday 23 October until the start of Monday 9 November 2020.
What this means for MOT garages
MOT garages can remain open.
To help ensure MOT testing can be conducted safely, you can read the DVSA guidance for MOT testers about operating safely during coronavirus.
During this period, a vehicle needs to have a valid MOT if it is being used, except for the journey to a pre-booked MOT.
