Toyota GB is celebrating a return to 100 percent production at its European plants in June, following a breakdown in production after the Japanese earthquake disaster.

A faster-than-expected return to normal production levels in Japan have enabled European plants to keep up with demand.

Jon Williams, managing director of Toyota GB has praised the efforts of staff on both continents, saying: “This is great news for our customers and for our dealer partners. I want to thank our colleagues in manufacturing, both here in Europe and in Japan, for finding solutions in such a short period of time. It is a testament to the extraordinary abilities of the Toyota organisation.

I know the UK dealers will be delighted to be able to offer customers normal delivery lead-times sooner than previously expected.” Williams has emphasised that dealers in the UK are enjoying business as usual.
