The European Commission has opened a public consultation on the Block Exemption regulations, which are due to expire in 2023.

The objective of this consultation is to “collect in-depth and high quality facts and evidence on the key competition issues arising in vertical relationships on the motor vehicle distribution and after-sales markets from the perspective of stakeholders”.

Representatives from the UK and Europe's aftermarket trade bodies are expected to take part, as are their opponents from franchise dealer associations and vehicle manufacturers.
The Commission
