Alliance Automotive Group UK has announced that it has recently completed the acquisition Melotrans Group Ltd.

The Melotrans Group is an LV business based in Dublin and consists of three distinct brands, Ballyfermot Autoparts, Finglas Auto Parts and Tallaght Auto Parts with sales of c€7m and 33 employees. Company registration documents show that Melotrans was registered at the start of 1987 in Dublin, although the firm's website suggests that the origins of the company can be traced back to 1978 when founders Michael Cosgrove and Turlough Hamill opened their first parts and accessory shop.

Alliance Automotive Group has made several acquisitions in Northern Ireland over the last year, but Melotrans Grouop is its first store acquisition in the Republic of Ireland.
The business group's expansion continues in Great Britain with the acquisition of Select Automotive Supplies and Carbits recently announced
