IAAF shortlisted for prestigious award

The Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF) has been shortlisted for a prestigious award.

The federation is in the running for the Best Longstanding Association Event at the Association Excellence Awards (AEA), which recognises efforts by trade federations, organisations, and chartered institutes, to ensure their members’ collective voices are heard and initiatives championed.

The nomination is in reference to the IAAF's jewel-in-the-crown annual conference and awards dinner.

AEA winners will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony at London's De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in November.

Mark Field, chief executive of IAAF, said: “We’re really looking forward once again to our annual Conference and Awards Dinner. The popularity of our event, for its industry insight, networking opportunity and celebration of the aftermarket’s achievements over the course of the year, has led to a well-deserved nomination in the Association Excellence Awards, which is a real feather in the Federation’s cap.”

IAAF’s 2023 Conference, themed ‘The Brilliance of Resilience’, will feature a star-studded line up of leading industry voices, including former derivatives trader Nick Leeson as keynote speaker, who is known for bankrupting Barings Bank, the UK's oldest merchant bank, in 1995.
