Equip Global Supplies Ltd will be the sole distributor of Castrol's new range of SLI, EFB and AGM batteries in the UK and Republic of Ireland.
EGS Ltd was formed earlier this year after Platinum Elite Holdings acquired Lincolshire-based Equip Rasen Ltd.
The firm remains based in Equip Rasen's home town of Market Rasen and will continue to offer the same range of products, including agricultural and automotive products, while expanding into battery sales with a new division: Equip Global Supplies (EGS).
EGS's battery arm is led by John Richards, who has more than 30 years of experience working with OEMs in the sector.

Ray Hildred, managing director of Equip Rasen – who remains with the business – said: "This move strengthens our offering, and I’m excited about the opportunities it brings for our customers and staff alike."
