50 product launches, 550 exhibitors from across the world and a host of famous names are set to attract 15,000 visitors to the NEC for Automechanika Birmingham 2025 this week. With skills and training opportunities being highlighted within the brand-new Motorvate showcase too, the show is set to be the must-attend motor industry event of the year.
Automechanika Birmingham is taking place from 3 - 5 June in Halls 18-20 at the NEC. New tech and training will be at the top of the agenda, which is where Motorvate comes in. Aimed at students and colleges, the new offering will be held next door in Hall 17 and will showcase the career opportunities available in the automotive sector.
Companies and organisations taking part in Motorvate include Bosch, LKQ Euro Car Parts, the IMI, Toyota GB, European Tyre Enterprise Limited (ETEL), and Autotech Group. Also participating are the IAAF, Castrol and The Race Group, part of Certas Group, Alliance Automotive Group, the SMMT and School of Thought.
With both events occupying a total of four halls at the NEC, there will be a huge area for attendees to explore. Exhibitors at the main event include BM Catalysts, Brembo, Comma, Draper Tools, ISN Europe, LIQUI MOLY, LKQ Euro Car Parts, Niterra UK, PPG, Ring/Osram, Sealey, Snap-on, ZF and many more.
On the product launch front, Bosch Mobility Aftermarket is unveiling its new Tesla Diagnosis Adapter Set, while Snap-on is using the show to launch a number of products, with the John Bean V2180 wheel alignment system making its UK debut. HELLA is offering up its new X 20 CSC ADAS calibration tool, as well as its new braking and A/C lines. On the diagnostics front, Launch Tech UK is debuting its X-431 EURO tool.
Influencers and celebrities will be drawing crowds too. Launch Tech UK is hosting Baz Meredith and Jimmy O’Riley of O’Rileys Autos, while drift driving champion Steve 'Baggsy' Biagioni is appearing with Snap-on. Thinkcar UK are bringing Mechanic Mindset’s Darren Quinn and Bob Shervill from RMS Diagnostics. On Castrol’s stand, Tim Benson is launching the new Castrol Service Consultancy, with Alex Lindley conducting live ‘On the Ramp’ podcast interviews.
Seminars
Visitors are able to learn during their visit too, with seminar programmes running within the show’s dedicated hubs. At the Workshop Hub in Hall 19 you will hear from a host of major names, including Technical Topics’ James Dillon, HELLA’S Steve Fox, Hayley Pells from the IMI and more. Castrol, ISN Europe, JLM, Shell UK, ACtronics and ZF will also feature.
Staying in Hall 19, Matt Cleevely is providing an EV repairs demo at the Autotechnician Workshop Hub. Also hitting the stage here are Delphi Technologies’ Luke Garratt and David Guilfoyle with a look at how to make money from Tesla servicing.
Meanwhile, Hall 20’s Aftermarket Hub is offering up a number of individual speakers and panel discussions, with topics set to cover AI and the independent garage, Right to Repair and the future of the EV market. Also in Hall 20 and new for 2025, Innovation4Mobilty will provide a look ahead with presentations covering the transition to E-mobility, ADAS and beyond.
Automechanika Birmingham Event Director Joanne Knowles commented: “Our speaker line-up is the most comprehensive yet, with training and advice on all areas affecting automotive businesses.”
Visitors are also able to look at the latest workshop concepts within The Modern Garage, in association with LKQ Euro Car Parts. There is also the all-new Tyre Village, which is running for the first time .Lastly, Paint & Spray Live, Body Repair Live and Vehicle Detailing Live in Hall 18 is catering to the bodyshop sector.
Ceremonies and social events
There are awards ceremonies and social events too. New for 2025 is the 30 under 30 Awards, recognising the next generation of industry talent. Winners will be announced from 3pm on Tuesday 3rd June at a ceremony being held within Motorvate. Wednesday 4th June will then see the return of the Automechanika Birmingham Garage Awards, hosted once again by the IAAF. This will take place from 5.30pm in the Gallery at the NEC.
